Knowledge management
Our longevity as a commercial law firm encompasses decades of commercial, legal and regulatory knowledge and experience, which has been captured and shared in order to inform how we advise clients today.
Knowledge team and function
We have a dedicated knowledge management team, focused on ensuring our collective experience and knowledge is shared across the firm and with our clients. Our knowledge management team is led by partner Pauline Louth. Pauline and her team ensure our lawyers and clients are up to date on current legal developments and trends.
The team has three core functions:
- Know-how and legal research services
- Training & development
- Client knowledge
Know-how and legal research services
Pauline and her team ensure our lawyers are up to date on legal developments and practice, by capturing and sharing across the firm our collective experience and knowledge. In addition and working with our various departments, the team prepares and maintains precedent documents, ensuring that our documentation is reviewed and amended in line with new legislation, trends and case law. This helps to ensure the very highest standards in the firm.
Technical training & professional development
The team also works with our legal teams to provide relevant, practical training and knowledge sharing through monthly departmental know-how lunches and through focused technical training in specific legal fields. The team also focuses on employee training and professional development throughout the firm, designed around the needs of our employees and clients and working with individuals to identify training needs and facilitate tailored training.
Client knowledge
The team is involved in the delivery of client seminars, newsletters and topical updates. The team works with our partners and other colleagues to write briefing notes, checklists and updates for clients to ensure they are informed on issues of importance to their organisation and aware of any related obligations or policy changes. We regularly circulate updates on corporate law, IP and technology law, employment law, litigation & dispute resolution, commercial property, EU, competition & procurement, and private client / family law.
