Kate is a consultant with our commercial property team. Kate specialises in the area of residential property. Kate advises clients at every stage of the development project - from site acquisition, the obtaining of planning permission, negotiation of funding agreements, to the sale of the completed units to third parties.
Over the last 20 years, Kate has worked with some of Ireland’s largest and best known residential property developers. She also advises local authorities on social and affordable developments.
- Dublin City Council from 2001 to 2010 on 2,500 acquisitions under the shared ownership scheme
- National Asset Residential Property Services DAC on its social housing initiative which involves the acquisition of circa 2,000 residential units from NAMA debtors/receivers and the lease by way of long term lease to approved housing bodies funded by housing authorities
- Dublin City Council on numerous multiple purchases of properties, including 99 units in Belmayne, Dublin 13, 38 units in Rathbourne/Laburnum, Ashtown, 29 units in Burnell Square, Northern Cross, Malahide Road, Dublin 17 (title ultimately taken by Cluid Housing Association) and 18 units in Kings Inn Street
- Dublin Docklands Development Authority on the purchase of social and affordable housing in Spencer Dock and Butler’s Court and the subsequent disposal of these units to qualified applicants
