Financial services sector
At the centre of this turmoil, financial services clients have been operating in an economy with a high percentage of non-performing property loans. This has required the development of a number of new financial instruments and consumer engagement processes to improve or gain back value from residential and commercial property loan books in particular.
Financial Services Group
Our financial services group has been at the forefront of developments in this sector, working with financial services clients to deliver creative solutions to many of the challenges presented. Our group represents a mix of domestic and international lenders and borrowers, including major banks, senior lenders, mezzanine lenders, hedge funds and developers, on a range of financing matters.
We advise on everything from acquisition financing and debt restructuring to loan portfolio financing and financial regulation. We have particular expertise in managing complex, large scale client assignments and are known for our ability to create project management solutions. For example, managing significant projects in relation to the acquisition and disposal of loan portfolios.
As part of a full service firm, we draw on the skills and technical knowledge of lawyers from other parts of the firm including property, construction, private equity, insolvency, corporate, and litigation enhancing its ability to deliver practical and commercial solutions to clients.
