Caoimhe Banks
Caoimhe is a partner in our specialised housing team within our commercial real estate department. Caoimhe works with public bodies, Approved Housing Bodies, local authorities, and developers on all aspects of residential and commercial property, including some of the largest residential transactions in recent times. Specialising in the development of housing schemes and bulk acquisition projects, Caoimhe has a strong knowledge of the acquisition, construction, structuring, financing, disposal, and leasing of various types of property, including mixed commercial and residential developments, shopping centres, retail parks, and office developments. She has also worked extensively on the construction aspect of developments, engaging with complex drafting and negotiation of public works contracts, development agreements, building contracts, collateral warranties, appointment letters, and performance bonds.
Caroline Shanahan
Caroline is a partner in our commercial litigation & dispute resolution team. Caroline specialises in insolvency, corporate recovery, banking disputes, and financial services litigation. She advises financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, private equity firms, and insurance companies in a wide range of complex commercial and financial disputes, including multi-jurisdictional enforcement and realisation of security, commercial property disputes, professional negligence, defamation, contractual disputes, and fraudulent actions. Caroline has significant experience in high value litigation, particularly proceedings involving injunctions and interlocutory applications.
Stuart Conaty
Stuart is a partner in our energy team and head of our planning team, working with clients across a number of sectors, including, renewable energy, housing, local government and the semi-state sector. He advises on a range of matters including planning and environmental, energy regulation, construction, commercial and corporate law drawing on his prior experience as a senior in-house lawyer in Bord na Móna where he provided legal support across the company’s diverse business operations including, thermal generation, wind farm development, solar PV, and waste management. Prior to entering legal practice, Stuart worked as an engineer and project manager for 15 years with considerable experience on a wide range of infrastructure and real estate projects. In meeting his clients' needs Stuart leverages this project focused experience to better understand the needs of his clients and in providing targeted, practical, and commercially focused advice. Stuart is also a lecturer in UCD’s School of Civil Engineering in law, procurement, and professional practice.
Paul Gough
Paul is a partner in our employment & benefits team. With his many years as a highly regarded employment lawyer, Paul has built up an impressive body of work acting for high calibre clients on a diverse range of employment-related issues. He regularly acts for clients before the Workplace Relations Commission on a range of employment related matters, including unfair dismissal and equality claims. He also provides employment related advices to domestic and international clients on a variety of non-contentious matters, including drafting long term incentive plans, working time queries and handling workplace grievances. Paul also supports the corporate team in corporate transactions, including in the due diligence process and in drafting appropriate warranties and indemnities.
