Listen to our Operations Director, Paul Clarke, and Admin Assistant, Nathan McDonald, talk to Petula Martyn of RTÉ's Morning Ireland about our involvement in Dublin's North East Inner City Initiative (NEIC) Career LEAP Programme which was developed with Trinity College. Beauchamps are proud to have been involved with NEIC for several years now, as an important part of supporting and staying connected to our local community. Through this programme we have welcomed many bright and valued staff members to the firm, provided mentorship support to young adults such as Nathan, while also being involved in the Transition Year Placements Programme where we have taken in 12 TY students from two schools in the North East Inner City for work experience.
NEIC is an important Government led initiative launched In July 2016, with the aim of developing the long-term social and economic regeneration of Dublin's North East Inner City area.
Career LEAP (Local Employment Action Partnership) is a pioneering youth work-readiness programme developed by Trinity College for young adults in Dublin's north inner city. It helps build personal, social, emotional and cognitive skills to develop career identity and work-readiness. Participants complete a tailor made four week personal and work readiness blended training programme. They then complete a period of work placement where they receive one to one mentor support from one of Career Leap's business partners. Afterwards, follow up support is provided to help them pursue their career journey.
We are delighted to have Nathan onboard, the latest in a line of fantastic team members to have come from this excellent initiative that we are so pleased to continue being a part of.
